The foundation of the system is the bhScale hive scale. At an apiary you visit regularly, Bluetooth transfer to the eHive app is often enough. If you want to monitor data remotely, you add the bhBase GSM module to the scale.

How to choose a setup
If your hives are close to home or you visit them regularly, a standalone bhScale hive scale with Bluetooth transfer is often enough. You load the data into the app when checking the apiary.
If your apiary is farther from home or you want ongoing visibility without visiting in person, the better option is bhScale + bhBase. The bhBase GSM module sends measurements to the app remotely.
If you want to monitor multiple hives at one apiary, a set is usually the best option. One bhBase station can serve multiple scales, so you do not need a separate remote transfer solution for each scale.
