Installing the scale

• place the scale on a level and solid surface (maximum slope 1°)
• if your hives are on a shared structure, use 2 cross battens to achieve the exact spacing under the feet
• protect the rear part of the electronics from direct sunlight
• place the hive in the centre of the scale
• insert the batteries according to polarity and wait for the device to start

Installing the probes

• route the probe as close as possible to the centre of the brood nest
• the cable can be routed over the edge of the super or through a hole in the wall
• when routing over the edge, make a small notch so the cable is not damaged
