eHive account: scale data and diary on multiple devices
An eHive user account is not only for remote monitoring through a GSM module. It is useful even if you use only a Bluetooth scale or keep your Beekeeper Diary in the app.
After signing in, your apiaries, hives, measurements and diary entries are linked to your account. Your data does not have to stay on one phone only.
On your phone at the hive, on a tablet at home or on a computer, you see the same data.

The same data on multiple devices. After signing in, you can see your hives, measurements and diary on your phone, tablet or computer.
The same data on phone, tablet and computer
When working with bees, a phone is usually the most practical device. You have it with you at the apiary, use it to read a Bluetooth scale or add a diary note.
At home, however, it may be more comfortable to view graphs on a larger screen. Or to review the season later on a tablet or computer.
With an eHive account, you can work with the same data on multiple devices:
- apiaries and hives,
- weight and temperature from scales,
- measurement history,
- Beekeeper Diary entries.
When you replace your phone, you do not have to start from scratch. After signing in, your data is available again.
Useful even without a GSM module
A GSM module sends data automatically and remotely. That is the most convenient way to monitor a hive.
But an account is useful with Bluetooth scales as well. When you come to the hive and read the data via Bluetooth, it can be saved to your account. Later, you can view it on another device.
You are not limited to the phone that was used to read the scale.
Diary together with measurements
The account does not store only scale data. It also includes the Beekeeper Diary.
When you record feeding, a stores check, treatment or another note, the entry stays assigned to the specific hive. When reviewing the data later, you do not see only the weight and temperature graph, but also your own actions during that period.
The scale shows the change. The diary adds context.
Data export
Data from the app can also be exported outside eHive.
Export is useful when you want to process the data further, compare multiple seasons, create your own reports or simply archive it.
For everyday use, the app is enough. If you want to work with the data in more detail, the account and export give you more control over your measurement history.
Why it is worth using an account
An eHive account helps keep your data together.
It does not matter whether you use GSM monitoring, a Bluetooth scale or only the Beekeeper Diary. Your apiaries, hives, measurements and notes remain available after signing in — even on another device.
This gives you a better overview of your hives, an easier transition to a new phone and the option to export or archive your data later.
